Acting Civil Surgeon Dr. Renu Singh and District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Tamanna said that this special day is celebrated on the 9th and 23rd of every month.

In which special attention is paid to the appropriate treatment management of high risk pregnant women. Apart from this, women are encouraged to lead a better lifestyle by providing free iron tablets and health education to ensure safe delivery.
Health officials said that if pregnant women, especially high-risk women, get proper health check-up from time to time, the health problems of mother and child can be reduced to a great extent. He said that it is very important for high-risk pregnant women to undergo four ANC tests before delivery.
He said that the Prime Minister's Safe Motherhood Abhiyan has played an important role in reducing the mortality rate of mothers and children. The campaign was launched across the country on 9th June 2016 According to which, every 9th and 23rd of the month at all government institutions, special high-risk pregnant women are examined by expert doctors for safe delivery. The Prime Minister's Safe Motherhood Campaign launched by the Health Department for the protection of needy and pregnant women is proving to be beneficial for needy pregnant women. Under this program, thousands of pregnant women have benefited so far in the district.
He appealed to the needy people to reach the government health institutions and make maximum use of the free facilities provided by the health department.
