On this occasion, the national president of the organization, Hardev Singh Boparai, demanded from the Punjab government that a chair should be established in the name of Bhai Ditt Singh Gianiji in a university. He said that Bhai Ditt Singh Giani ji has been a scholar of Sikhism, who fought a strong struggle to stop the worship in Gurdwaras during the occupation of the Gurdwaras, the centers of Sikh propaganda during the British rule in the 19th century. The name of Marjivde Bhai Ditt Singh Giani ji, who fought for the advancement of Sikhism in such a difficult time, should also come in the forefront.
On this occasion Amrik Singh Sandhu Nurpur Beit Circle President requested the Shiromani Committee and said that the Shiromani Committee should also name the department in one of its educational institutions after Bhai Ditt Singh Gianiji.
