New Delhi, September 2 – Indian para archery's Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar won bronze in the mixed team compound event at the Paris Paralympics 2024 on Monday. In the bronze medal match, the pair of Sheetal-Rakesh defeated Italy's Eleonora Sarti and Matteo Bonacina 156-155.
It may be mentioned that Sheetal Devi was not able to win a medal in the single competition, but the result of her hard work and dedication was that she and Rakesh Kumar won the bronze medal in the mixed team competition.
With this, now with 3 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze medals, India has reached the 14th place in the medal tally, while China, England and America are still occupying the top 3 places.
