Hoshiarpur - Work is being done with an amount of around 2 crore 10 lakh rupees for the development of infrastructure in government schools of Vidhan Sabha constituency Chabewal. This information was shared by MP Raj Kumar Chabewal with the people present during the event organized by the sports club in Gogaro village. Dr. Ishank was specially present with him on this occasion, he said that this amount is being used for toilets, minor repairs and construction of other classrooms and fencing in the schools.
The objective of this initiative is to provide better educational environment to the students, thereby improving the quality of their education and reducing the dropout rate of the students. Under this view, he has sanctioned the necessary funds for improving the infrastructure of government schools. This amount is specially given for those schools where basic facilities are lacking and due to this the students are being affected. Some schools lack toilets, while others need to increase the number of classrooms.
In addition, many schools also require minor repairs to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the building. All these works will be completed on priority basis, so that the best facilities can be provided to the students as soon as possible. He said that the lack of toilets in government schools in India is a major problem, which has a negative impact on the attendance of students, taking this problem seriously, he has given the highest priority to the construction of toilets under this initiative. Apart from this, due to the increase in the number of students in many schools, the need for additional classrooms is being felt.
Some schools do not even have space for students to sit, due to which their studies are affected. In such a case, this problem will be solved with the decision to build additional classrooms. Member of Parliament Raj Kumar Chabewal said that his priority has always been the comprehensive development of his area.
