
'Swachhta Pakhwara' will give a new direction to the cleanliness campaign in schools
Hoshiarpur - District Education Officer Secondary Lalita Arora has issued instructions to all schools to celebrate 'Swachhata Pakhwara' from September 1 to September 15, 2024. The aim of this campaign is to strengthen hygiene arrangements in schools and to increase awareness about hygiene among students, teachers and society. Swachhata Pakhwara will be launched on 1st September as 'Swachhata Sankalp Day'.

The aim of this campaign is to strengthen hygiene arrangements in schools and to increase awareness about hygiene among students, teachers and society. Swachhata Pakhwara will be launched on 1st September as 'Swachhata Sankalp Day'. Where all students, teachers and school staff will be sworn to maintain cleanliness.
Under this campaign, various activities will be conducted to give priority to cleanliness. These mainly include Sanitation Awareness Day, Green School Drive and Sanitation Action Plan. On the occasion of 'Sanitation Awareness Day', school management committee members will be informed about the importance of cleanliness and waste management. Meanwhile, it will also be ensured that all necessary measures are taken to keep the school premises and surrounding area clean. Under 'Green School Drive', students will be made aware about environmental conservation and cleanliness through slogans, posters and pamphlets.
Along with this, students will be told about the importance of hand hygiene and personal hygiene. During 'Hand Washing Days', special attention will be given to students to inculcate the habit of washing hands regularly. Various competitions including slogan writing, painting, model making, quiz, poetry competition and debates will also be conducted during the Swachhata Pakhwara. All these competitions will be based on the topics of sanitation and environmental protection. The students who performed well in the competitions will be awarded prizes on September 15.
