Hoshiarpur - The permission given by the Hon'ble Supreme Court to create a sub-category in the SC/ST quota is part of a big scam for the SC/ST community. The above views were expressed by Kulwant Bhunon, General Secretary of Ambedkar Sena Punjab, while issuing a press statement.
Kulwant Bhunon said that this decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court will increase the difficulties of the SC/ST community because already the SC/ST community is very backward in terms of jobs and economic resources in government institutions. The quota for SC/ST people in government institutions and educational sector is negligible. Kulwant Bhunon further said that if the Hon'ble Supreme Court or the governments really want to implement a new system in the country without any bias, then which class category has how many jobs in the country.
To find out this, continuous census should be conducted and after the caste based census, the picture of the country will become clear as to which caste has how many government jobs and how many resources. He said that the Hon'ble Supreme Court and the governments should conduct caste based census and allocate jobs for each class category based on the number of castes. Bhun finally said that this time people of SC/ST society are protesting on a large scale.
