Garhshankar - 'Vrikash Raksha Bandhan' was celebrated at Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College Garhshankar by SESREC and NSS unit with the support of 'National Azu Trust of India'. Meanwhile, the staff and students of the college started an environmental awareness campaign by tying emotional hugs to the trees of the college campus, their villages, taking a pledge to protect the environment, plant more trees and take care of them.
Apart from this, the students and staff encouraged the people of their respective villages to plant more trees and protect them. So that the future society can be given a healthy environment. On this occasion, College Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira encouraged SESREC Coordinator Dr. Manbir Kaur for her efforts to connect students, volunteers and society emotionally towards the environment and inspired them to continue conducting such programs in the future as well.
