
11th Annual Conference of the Society for Emergency Radiology organised at PGIMER.
The Department of Radiodiagnosis and Imaging at PGIMER, Chandigarh, is hosting the 11th Annual Conference of the Society for Emergency Radiology. The event is being led by Organizing Chairman Dr. Paramjeet Singh and Organizing Secretary Dr. Naveen Kalra. It was inaugurated by Prof. YK Chawla, Former Director of PGIMER, along with Dr. MS Sandhu and Dr. Arjun Kalyanpur, President of the Society. The Guest of Honor, Dr. Radha Ratho, Dean Academics of the Institute, also graced the occasion.

This year's conference focuses on Emergency Radiology, a growing sub-specialty dealing with imaging for trauma and critical non-trauma cases. The event features lectures and case discussions by national and international experts, covering critical emergencies such as stroke, brain hemorrhage, gut bleeding, neck trauma, and acute cholangitis. Notable speakers include Dr. Ajay Singh, Dr. Rajiv Gupta, Dr. Manickam Kumaravel, and Dr. Krystal.
The conference has attracted around 300 participants, including postgraduate students and practicing radiologists. A pre-conference workshop featured hands-on training in interventional procedures and basic life support, attended by approximately 100 delegates. Dr. Akshay K Saxena, Dr. Chirag, and Dr. Harish Bhujade hold key organizational roles.
