The 33rd fair of Ghadri Babas will be held from November 1 to 3

Jalandhar- Sharing with the press the important decisions taken after serious deliberations in the meeting of the General Body of Desh Bhagat Memorial Committee, the Chairman of the Committee Ajmer Singh, General Secretary Prithipal Singh Madimegha and Convener of Cultural Wing Amolak Singh said that keeping in mind the Diwali festival, the 33rd fair of Gadri Baba will be held for three days from 4 pm on November 1 to November 3.

Jalandhar- Sharing with the press the important decisions taken after serious deliberations in the meeting of the General Body of Desh Bhagat Memorial Committee, the Chairman of the Committee Ajmer Singh, General Secretary Prithipal Singh Madimegha and Convener of Cultural Wing Amolak Singh said that keeping in mind the Diwali festival, the 33rd fair of Gadri Baba will be held for three days from 4 pm on November 1 to November 3.
After the flag hoisting ceremony on Sunday, November 3 at 10 am, the fair will end with a night full of plays and songs on November 3, with full enthusiasm at Sarghi on the morning of November 4.
All the members present in the meeting including the Vice-Chairman of the Committee Kulwant Singh Sandhu, Assistant Secretary Charanji Lal Kangniwal and Finance Secretary Seetal Singh Sangha, after considering all the aspects, decided that the book fair will start from the morning of November 1. In which at 4 pm formally the fair lovers will sit together, think and enjoy the artifacts. It was also decided in the meeting that on Saturday, 10th August, at 11 AM, there will be a joint meeting of the cultural wing and office bearers of the committee. After this, at 12 PM, there will be a meeting of the huge cultural wing and all literary/cultural activities related to the fair, in which the responsibility of inauguration of the fair, flag hoisting will be given and the outline of the fair will be given.
It was also decided in the meeting that the digital theatre to be built in Baba Sohan Singh Bhakna Gadri Museum will be named 'Desh Bhagat Gandharva Sain Kochar Memorial Theatre'. In this theatre, events related to the historical heritage, pictures, songs, music, poems, stage and films etc. of Gadri patriots, neglected freedom fighters will also be shown and discussions will also take place. Especially every possible effort will be made to connect the budding youth and young men with their glorious Independence Day and to spread healthy, patriotic, pro-people, scientific and revolutionary democratic thoughts in the society.
CPI District Tarn Taran Committee will encourage the patriotic committees, people support groups and individuals in the villages associated with the freedom struggle of Jallianwala Bagh and Majha region to come forward to bear the expenses of langar in this fair.
In today's meeting, the trustee of the committee Dr. Parminder Singh, Assistant Secretary Charanji Lal Kangniwal expressed their views about Ghadri Gulab Kaur who left forever on 28 July 1925 and Shaheed Udham Singh who was hanged on 31 July 1940. Tributes were paid to the members of the committee Gulab Kaur, Udham Singh, Gurcharan Singh Acharwal, Jeet Kaur Acharwar, Avtar Virk, Avtar Kaur Ludhiana, Chandra Mohan Kalia DMC Ludhiana, Parshottam Lal, Ghania Langeri, Ranbir Singh Dhillon, Swarn Singh Akalpuri, Arsal Singh Sandhu, Kulwant Singh Kirti Fazilka.
