Ludhiana - Famous film actor Hobby Dhaliwal was felicitated at the Saath office by the renowned Sanskrutik Sath Punjab, which organizes the prestigious competition of 'World Punjabi'. Renowned personalities from the fields of culture and literature made the atmosphere colourful in the brief but effective ceremony. On this occasion, Hobby Dhaliwal was presented with beautiful souvenirs and flowers by the Sath.
Sanskrutik Sath President Sardar Jasmer Singh Dhatt, in his welcoming words, declared Hobby Dhaliwal not only as the favourite artist of Punjabis, but also as the flag bearer of Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiat. He said that the film in which Dhaliwal has participated gives a glimpse of the courageous and strong characters of Punjabis. Sath General Secretary Ughe Rangakari Dr. Nirmal Jora spoke on issues related to Hobby Dhaliwal's long film innings. He appreciated Dhaliwal's contribution in bringing Punjabi films back to a respectable level. Famous media person Kumar Sharman from Calgary, Canada and big sports promoter Inderjit Mullanpur from Edmonton specially attended the program. In his address, Hobby Dhaliwal appreciated the Miss World Punjabi competition organized by Sath and felt that organizing such a competition in today's time is a very challenging task. This unique competition is being organized for more than three decades. It is an expression of Dhatt's determination and passion to promote Punjabi culture. He mesmerized the audience by singing two songs, highlighting his hidden qualities.
