Mohali 26 July - Devotees enjoyed the marriage of Lord Shri Krishna and Rukmani in the musical Amrit Varsha of Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran Katha being held at Shri Shiv Mandir near Selvi Hospital, Mohali, Phase-9, Mohali. During this, devotees were seen dancing with Lord Shri Krishna and Rukmani on the bhajans sung by the Katha Vyas. To participate in the program, the current president of Shri Brahman Sabha Mohali registered 484-1982, retired SP VK Vaidya, Jaswinder Sharma, Baldev Kishan Vashisht, Navalkishore Sharma, Sanjay Kumar, Mahila Sankirtan Mandal President Madam Hema Gerola along with their team participated and also took blessings from the Katha Vyas by bowing down. During this, the officials of the temple committee honored the dignitaries who had come. A large number of devotees attended the event including the present office bearers of Shri Shiv Mandir Phase-9 Mohali, including Chairman Ramesh Verma, Pradhan Sanjeev Kumar, General Secretary Arvind Thakur and Treasurer Raman Sharma and the entire team of Mahila Sankirtan Mandal. During this, the temple committee expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the generous people for making the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha a success and for giving various kinds of support and donations and said that religious programs are not the right of any one person, but the entire society has the right over all kinds of religious programs organized in the temple and we all should continue to serve in this way selflessly. Advocate NK Verma, former Additional Advocate Punjab, Advocate Sukhwinder Singh Kainth, Advocate Davinder, Jai Kishan Sharma, Chief Sevadar from Gugamadi Kambali, Head Manoj Makkad from Market Association Phase-9, Ranjit Puri, Anil Kansal, Sushil Gupta, Sunil Kumar Garg with team, former local councilor Mrs. Prakashwati also participated. Chairman Ramesh Verma told that Saurabh Jhamb from Sector-53 provided the service of Bhandara, Anil Goyal distributed Laddoo prasad and Anil Gupta provided fruit prasad every day. Ramesh Verma said that before the conclusion of the Katha, Maha Aarti is being organized daily and after that Prasad is distributed to the devotees and an unbroken Bhandara is being organized.
