Hoshiarpur - A budget of 1095.99 lakh rupees has been released for 2149 beneficiaries in Hoshiarpur district under the financial assistance of 51 thousand rupees given to needy girls on the occasion of marriage under the Ashirwad scheme. And within a week the amount will reach the respective beneficiaries' accounts. Giving this information, Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Gimpa said that under this scheme, Social Justice and Minority Department is providing Rs 51,000 to eligible beneficiaries belonging to Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes from April 2023 to January 2024. is He said that during these 9 months, an amount of Rs. 691.56 lakhs is being provided to 1356 beneficiaries of scheduled castes and Rs. 404.43 lakhs to 793 beneficiaries of backward classes.
 The Cabinet Minister said that to avail the benefits under this scheme, it is necessary to submit the application online in the prescribed proforma 30 days before the marriage and within 30 days of the date of marriage.
