Una, July 9 - Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar, while presiding over the meeting of the District Level Aadhar Monitoring Committee, directed to focus on Aadhar registration of children up to the age of 5 years. In the meeting held on Tuesday, he asked the concerned officials to activate all the kits provided to the Education Department. He also directed the officials to ensure inspection of Aadhar registration centers at regular intervals to monitor their work. He directed for immediate disposal of pending applications for field verification.
Additional Deputy Commissioner said that biometric update is mandatory in the age group of 5 to 7 years and 15 to 17 years. This facility is being provided free of cost. He asked the officials to make people aware about this. He also stressed on giving this information that it is necessary to update the documents every 10 years to keep the Aadhaar active. He urged the public to update the mobile number and email in Aadhaar.
