
Election process successfully completed in Hoshiarpur
Hoshiarpur - The election process has been successfully completed in the district and during the counting of votes today, Aam Aadmi Party candidate Dr. Raj Kumar Chabewal emerged victorious. He defeated Indian National Congress candidate Yamini Gomar by 44111 votes. District Election Officer Komal Mittal and SSP Surendra Lamba inspected the security arrangements outside the counting centers at Riyat-Bahra Institute and Multi Skill Development Center and also visited the media center.
Hoshiarpur - The election process has been successfully completed in the district and during the counting of votes today, Aam Aadmi Party candidate Dr. Raj Kumar Chabewal emerged victorious. The District Election Officer informed that Aam Aadmi Party candidate Dr. Raj Kumar Chabewal emerged victorious in Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha constituency and got 303859 votes. He informed that Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Anita Som Prakash got 199994 votes, Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Sohan Singh Thandal got 91789 votes, Indian National Congress candidate Yamini Gomar got 259748 votes, Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Ranjit Kumar got 48214 votes. He said that apart from this, Nationalist Justice Party candidate Hardeep Singh got 1425 votes, Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) candidate Jaswant Singh got 20923 votes, Bahujan Dravid Party candidate Jeevan Singh Tamil got 4621 votes, Samaj Bhalia Morcha candidate Davinder Kumar Saroa got 930 votes, Global Republican Party candidate Bhimrao Yashwant Ambedkar got 1041 votes, Bahujan Mukti Party candidate Rajpal Nadali got 1140 votes, Democratic Bharatiya Samaj Party candidate Rajesh got 2336 votes, independent candidate Satpal got 993 votes, independent candidate Sonu Singh Phagwara got 1884 votes, independent candidate Davinder Singh got 1617 votes. Rohit Kumar Tinku got 2419 votes and NOTA got 5552 votes. Komal Mittal thanked the election staff and said that the election process was successfully completed due to the hard work and transparency of the election staff in performing their responsibilities. He expressed gratitude for the support given by the candidates. He informed that the counting of Assembly Constituencies Hoshiarpur, Chabewal, Urumar, Dasuha, Mukerian, Bhulath, Phagwara has been done at Riyait-Bahra Institute and counting of Assembly Constituencies Sri Hargobindpur and Shamchurasi has been done at Multi Skill Development Center Hoshiarpur. District Election Officer Komal Mittal expressed gratitude to the counting staff, security staff and candidates and said that the number of votes polled for Lok Sabha Hoshiarpur today is the number of observers appointed by the Hon'ble Election Commission at Riyait-Bahra Institute and Multi Skill Development Center Hoshiarpur operated in transparent and tight security system. He also appreciated the responsibility performed by the media. He said that to make the entire election process successful, various teams including polling personnel also played commendable responsibility as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India. SSP Surendra Lamba praised the security personnel deployed on duty and said that officers and jawans of CAPF, State and District Police were deployed at both the counting centers and all the personnel also performed their duty with full hard work.
