Government Middle School Samundra celebrated the birthday of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh with great enthusiasm by the school staff  and all the students. The leader of Kirti Kisan Union, Kulwinder Singh Chahal, who arrived specially on this occasion, also addressed the students. Chahal said about the struggling  life of Sardar Bhagat Singh that along with sacrificing himself to make the country free, he also sacrificed his family. They continued to fight bravely in the plains war until they were  martyred by tying a sackcloth on their heads to break the chains of slavery. Head of the school Sarabjit Singh while addressing the students said that children are the valuable  capital of the country, such rituals should be held in their foundations during school which will greatly appreciate their standard of living. Children should also contribute to the  progress of the country by getting higher education keeping in mind moral values along with education. The history of the sacrifice of the warriors who laid down their lives for the  sake of the country should also be remembered that how many sacrifices they have made for the sake of this country. On this occasion, Master Naresh Kumar Bhamiya, Rakesh  Kumar, Madam Baljinder Kaur, Kulwinder Kaur, Ram Saroop, Pradat Singh and Jitinder Singh etc. were present.
