Nawanshahr - Accidents occurring during road traffic are increasing day by day. Every year the week from 11th to 17th January is celebrated as Road Safety Awareness Week by the government. Seeing this problem, a unique initiative has been taken by Bhagat Puran Singh Lok Seva Trust of village Barnala Kalan.
Road Safety Awareness Week is being celebrated tomorrow at Gurdwara Sadh Sangat by Bhagat Puran Singh Lok Seva Trust at village Barnala Kalan with the support of Road Safety Awareness Society Nawanshahr. In which the SDM of Nawanshahr Madam Akshita Gupta IAS will be specially present and flag off the road safety awareness rally being held in the village.
Former Sarpanch and President of the Trust, Harprabmahal Singh, who gave information about this, said that under this campaign, the village will be made as a model and materials related to the prevention of road accidents were distributed from house to house.
