In this meeting, Secretary of the Joint Forum Harpal Singh and Secretary of Ekta Manch Gurvel Singh Balpuria presented the agenda of reviewing the ongoing struggle since August 21 against the attitude of the Punjab government towards the employee demands and preparing for the next intense struggle. .
While discussing this, the leaders of Joint Forum and Ekta Manch, Baldev Singh Mandhali, Kulwinder Singh Dhillo, Davinder Singh Pisor, Sarabjit Singh Bhana, Ranjit Singh Dhillo, Sarinderpal Singh Lahoria, Kaur Singh Sohi, Baljit Singh Modla, Jagjit Singh Kotli, were present in the meeting. , Puran Singh, Khai, Harmandeep, Raghbir Singh, Jagtar Singh, Tajinder Singh Sekhon, Dalip Kumar, Rachpal Singh Pali etc. said that on July 31 under the chairmanship of Hon'ble Minister of Power, a joint forum by Power Management and the leadership of Ekta Manch at Chandigarh. After holding a meeting, after the death of a worker due to an electrical accident, apart from giving a compensation of one crore to the victim's family, he agreed to many employee demands, including giving them the status of a martyr, and promised to implement them by August 15.
But regrettably, not a single demand has been settled till date. As part of the ongoing struggle since August 21 against the Power Minister and Power Management's anti-promise and anti-employee behavior, apart from the success of the protest sit-in and flag march at the Power Minister's residence New Amritsar on September 1, work in the field of power workers While working to rule, doing 8 hours of duty till September 30, they will take collective leave on September 10, 11 and 12 and protest in front of the division offices at the state level.
