Monitoring teams should be continuously active in the field, immediately send updates of action - District Election Officer

Una, 20 May- District Election Officer, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal has instructed all the monitoring teams deployed in the district to remain continuously active in the field and has asked them to ensure sending updates of immediate action. While holding an online meeting of Assistant Expenditure Supervisors, in-charges of flying squads and static monitoring teams on Monday, he said that these remaining 10-11 days before the voting are very important from the point of view of taking special vigilance and fulfilling their responsibilities with promptness and activeness. There is no scope for any kind of negligence in this. He said that he will himself conduct surprise inspection and see the functioning of the monitoring teams.

Jatin Lal said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission, to ensure free, fair and transparent elections and to increase public confidence in the entire system, it is necessary that all FSTs, SSTs as well as video observation teams work actively at the ground level. Teams should keep sending updates on the action taken on the spot. Apart from this, he directed the teams of Police, Tax and Excise and Central GST to be continuously active in the field and ensure their prompt reporting.
