Una, August 29 - Child Development Project Officer Kuldeep Singh Dayal of Una took an inspiring initiative on the occasion of his retirement by contributing Rs 11,000 for the Samarthya program of the district administration. Mr Dayal is retiring from government service on August 31. He handed over this cheque to DC Jatin Lal at the Deputy Commissioner's office on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal praised the generosity of Shri Dayal and this noble deed and called it an important and inspiring step towards the society. He has appealed to all the district residents to join this initiative and provide financial support according to their capacity.
Let us tell you, the objective of the Una district administration's Samarthya program is to empower the youth, women and various sections of the society of the district. Under this, a provision has been made to provide financial assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh for higher education of girls from poor families. There is also a provision of help for the marriage of daughters.
