SAS Nagar, August 30 Additional Deputy Commissioner of the district Miss Geetika Singh and Additional Deputy Commissioner Damanjit Singh Mann reviewed the various rural and urban development works of the district to complete the various projects in the district within the stipulated time without delay. Orders have been given. Additional Deputy Commissioner Geetika Singh and Damanjit Singh Mann said during a meeting with the officials of various departments of the district in the district administrative complex that any kind of laxity in the ongoing work of the government projects will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against the officials adopting such behavior. The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that any kind of laxity regarding the quality of these works will not be tolerated. He also reviewed the projects under the Punjab Urban Environment Improvement Plan and asked to complete the projects within the stipulated time and also gave instructions to start the allotted works. S. Damanjit Singh Mann asked the officials of Municipal Corporation Mohali and Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats to take strict steps to stop single use plastic and ensure maximum checking in this regard and take action as per the law. He said that the process of setting up Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at various places in the district is going on and all the work required to prepare these projects at the ground level is being completed continuously. Completion of the identified projects will not only lead to proper management of sewage water but also help in dealing with situations like floods. The treated water will be used for various irrigation purposes. He instructed the police department to take action to issue challans to people driving under the influence of alcohol in the open so that accidents can be avoided. On this occasion SDM Mohali Chandra Jyoti Singh, SDM Derabsi Himanshu Gupta, SDM. Kharar Ravinder Singh along with all the working officers of the district and officers of different departments were present.
